This series of photographs was taken in Mongolia between 2023 and 2025. Mongolia's nomadic civilization has endured for millennia, yet its total population stands at just 3.4 million. As desertification intensifies across the grasslands and socioeconomic development progresses, population distribution is increasingly urbanized. More and more young people are choosing to seek education and employment opportunities in cities, while the proportion of herders living in traditional yurts within pastoral areas is gradually declining.
