This series of photographs was taken in 2025 in Harbin, northeastern China, documenting the lives of residents in the century-old Daowai District. As one of Harbin's founding districts, Daowai carries the city's most profound historical memories. In recent years, China's rapid economic development has significantly improved living conditions nationwide, yet in Harbin's Daowai District, residents still maintain their 20th-century way of life.
